We are so excited to launch this new vintage, which is an excellent depiction of the strong 2021 harvest. Since the grapes were harvested from the sunny Paarl area, the wine turned out to be flavour-packed and ideal for all white wine enthusiasts.
When picking the grapes, everything was done throughout the night, when the temperatures were below zero. This allowed the winemaker to retain as much natural acidity, ensuring vibrancy and freshness in the wine. During the winemaking process, the wine was kept on the lees, which adds excellent texture and complexity to the wine, highlighting the quality end-product.
On the Nose
As a result of the meticulous attention to detail, the winemaker was able to bring to light a highly expressive wine with notes of green fig, lemongrass, and tropical fruits.
On the Palate
The palate follows through with bursts of pineapple, grapefruit, and passion fruit. The combination of sweet and sour fruits is delightfully refreshing, especially combined with the wine’s natural minerality.
