Our Rosendal Pinotage Rosé was harvested from the Swartland region. The wine has a shimmering pink coral hue and the bouquet reveals raspberry, candy floss, and strawberries on the nose, leading to peach and cherry flavours on the palate.
These concentrated flavors are balanced by a zesty acidity that concludes in a crisp, refreshingly dry finish.
Mild temperatures during the ripening period resulted in good flavour retention and exceptional acidity in white cultivars. Red cultivars show great tannin and colour analysis, promising wines with concentrated flavour profiles and superior quality.
The grapes were handpicked early in the morning and destemmed in the cellar. The berries were lightly crushed before receiving enough skin contact to extract the soft pink colour from the skins. The fermentation process was maintained at a constant temperature of 15 ℃ and lasted 10 days. Final fining and stabilisation were done in July and the wine was bottled in October.Serving Suggestion
