The Reserve Blue Mountain is a Bordeaux blend with a deep dark hue. Perfume of ripe blackcurrant infused with roasted coffee beans and tobacco leaves line the nose. The palate is rich and densely fruited showing black plum and hints of dark chocolate. The wine has great structure and balance and concludes in a long tapered finish.
All 4 cultivars were vinified separately and the wines were aged for 18 months and blended before bottling.
The Reserve Blue Mountain is best served with Sunday Roasted Lamb. Grilled Rib-eye steak with decadent gorgonzola or wild mushroom sauce.
