The results of the 2020 Old Mutual Trophy Wine Show were announced on 30 September by way of a unique online presentation. The virtual awards function detailed the key results from the 19th edition of the Cape wine industry's toughest – and most highly regarded – competition.
In the almost two decades of its existence, the competition has welcomed on its winner's podium almost all of the country's leading producers, from boutique-size cellars to major wholesalers
Rosendal has once again proven the quality of its exclusive boutique wines by winning FOUR MEDALS at this prestigious competition. Rosendal Reserve Pinot Noir 2018 and Barony Sophie 2018 Bordeaux Blend both won Silver and our Rosendal Merlot 2018 and Reserve Mistral 2015 Rhone Blend both won Bronze.
The scores awarded to each wine judged according to a 100-point scoring system. SILVER MEDAL – Excellent, wine of distinction: scored 80 to 89 out of 100.
With these wines taking podium position, we are confident that they are deemed as collectables in their category and are officially a vital part of any wine collection.
