Barony Skaði Grenache Noir 2017 A vibrant ruby red hue makes for an inviting first impression. Fragrant whiffs of red cherries, cloves and strawberries meets plush red berries on the palate. Smooth layers of deliciousness guide the finish into a perfectly tapered tail. Serve slightly chilled during summer time.
So excited about this one! Upfront cassis and plums are supported by subtle oak nuances and a smooth but rounded mouth-feel.
The wine is extremely juicy with lashings of dusty chocolate and whiffs of moist Christmas cake on the nose. The palate is steeped in a melange of blackberries, orange rind and hints of dried mint combining a lovely warm earthiness with an abundance of fruit flavours. The tannins are smooth with a dry and delightfully spicy aftertaste.
This wine’s black core with purple rim is the first sign of its intensity. Fragrant pink pepper spice, wild blackberries and classic graphite are some of the flavours you will find in the perfumed bouquet. The palate is generous and lush with sweet bold fruit and brandied cherry nuances that lead to a full bodied palate and a grippy but ripe tannin structure.
Rosendal currently has a limited number of French wines available. The La Chenade Lalande-de-Pomerol 2015 moves towards red fruit on the nose, crushed strawberry and raspberry pastilles, candied and somehow joyful. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin, very fine in the mouth with a keen line of acidity.
The Barony Sophie 2016 is a rich, complex blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot. It's a perfect winter wine and will be available via our call centre and our online store within the next two weeks.
Our latest release is sure to be a popular one, judging by the popularity of its predecessor, Barony August 2014, that sold out after its release last year.
The colour of this Cabernet Sauvignon is a dark garnet-rouge. The nose shows fragrant cassis, dried herb and cocoa aromas that develop into bright and vibrant red berried fruits on the palate. The wine is elegant but has great depth with juicy tannins and a fresh acidity that contributed to its length and concentration.
